We ordered to be picked up, unfortunately the food was very blandly seasoned. The fried vegetables consisted only of broccoli. The spring rolls were also just warmed up. All in all, very disappointing, too bad.
Originally a fan, then seen the kitchen lady pouring the old frying fat on a tree outside.
Food in general very good. Selection simply knitted. Cute little restaurant. No card payment possible!
We ordered 3 starters and 3 main courses to pick up. Starters were okay and tasted good. We had ordered all dishes vegetarian (with tofu). We encountered an unpleasant smell from one of the main courses. The other two main courses were okay, but the tofu in all dishes was inedible. We had heard good things about the restaurant and are disappointed. The price was too high for what we got.
A sala is a Thai ritual pavilion. The Sala Thai is located in a not very idyllic area in the basement. If it hadn't been a tip from a friend, I wouldn't have dared to go in here. We each had a simple dish with Thai vegetables and rice, once with chicken and Thai basil, and once vegetarian with lemongrass. € 13 each. Both dishes were tasty, the Thai basil was clearly present, unfortunately the lemongrass was not. Both dishes were rated "spicy", but I just found them "quite spicy". So here one comes too far towards the German taste with its fear of spiciness. The vegetables could have been fresher and tastier. It felt like something from TK. There is no tofu with the vegetarian dish, it may be authentic, but it makes it a bit lean. The two of us paid € 35 with drink and tip. We were there for dinner, but I really want to come to the lunch menu.
Great quality
Here you can get authentic Thai vegetarian and meat dishes.
Great Thai food, great service
Super authentic, nice staff, fast and incredibly delicious food - simply great!
My favorite Thai for years. It always tastes excellent here, just as one is used to from the kitchens in Bangkok. Clear recommendation!
Lunch dishes are very tasty and always different. Prices are okay. You are always served friendly and the atmosphere is nice. You feel good, not too loud, so that you can talk.
Very good, authentic food. Furnishing distinctive. Don't let the entrance to the restaurant scare you.
Whoever dares wins. A very cozy atmosphere with equally friendly service is hidden in a place where you would not necessarily expect it. The food, although not outstanding, is still commendable. I will definitely be back soon!
Not easy to find and no parking, but the food is great!
A very tasty Asian restaurant, already rustic, a bit small, but the food there is excellent and the price is fair
Very good food and good portions. The local is small, but very well decorated and comfortable. The service is very nice and kind. Highly recommended. I will come again.
Incredibly good, authentic Thai in a funky atmosphere. You have to love this shop. One of my culinary highlights in Greater Munich.
We can not share the negative opinions. Yes, it is hidden, the access is quite shabby and dilapidated, the room is quite small, but it works more private and cozy, not as loud as other great restaurants. The service is nice, the store is full, the food is not too short and really delicious! We'll be back for sure!
Good food for reasonable prices. Service not particularly friendly. No card payments.
Tucked away in a basement, this unusually authentic and lovingly decorated Thai restaurant is a very nice lady. Also the dishes are more authentic thai than usual in Europe. Qualitatively not everything first choice. Ask yourself: Sala Thai or salad shark?
Very delicious, with allergies, some ingredients can be omitted, which argues that it is freshly prepared. However, very small, so book the best weekend! There is also a lunch menu and you can order takeaway food. Good price-performance ratio!
We used to think it was better somehow. The food is still very good, but it stinks of kitchen, candles, fire pits ... Apparently the ventilation does not really work and that is important for basement space, I think
Not as good as I remembered.
Great Thai place. Food is awesome but don't take your chance to ask for spicy food. Don't buy Gutschein (Discount Coupons) as a gift someone. If you do please make sure to convey that coupons are strictly valid for one year only!
Best Thai food outside of Thailand. A unforgettable culinary experience is waiting for in this basement down a flight of stairs leading from a backyard. A definite "must go" if you like Thai food.
Best Thai in Munich! Very friendly and perfect food. For the evenings a reservation is a must.
